My Story
My name is Tom Willner, and this is the real story behind the music and the musical called Turning Thirty. I am a testicular cancer survivor, and the experience I had from diagnosis through treatment and ultimately to survivorship is all here. I broke the story up into sections, listed on the right hand side of the page. You can click through each one of the sections in order to read my story.
The sections of my story are:
- Discovery - Finding out something was wrong.
- Realization - Learning that I had cancer.
- Cut It Out - Serious surgery.
- Identity - Taking a new look at myself.
- Recurrence - It's back.
- Poison - This time, it requires chemotherapy.
- New Perspective - I look at life a lot differently now.
